However, if a spill goes unnoticed for a few days, there’s no need to worry. Our aluminum deck boards are tested to withstand common spills, like ketchup, mustard, and beer, with no damage even after a couple of weeks.

While some deck owners may turn to power washing, we don’t recommend it for our aluminum decks. Power washers come in a range of pressures, and some may be too intense for our decking surface. Sticking with a brush and mild cleaning solution is the safest choice. Don’t forget to clear away debris and meltwater before it refreezes to prevent any surface damage.

If snow removal is necessary, use a plastic shovel rather than a metal one to avoid scratching. Also, be mindful of the furniture and accessories you place on the deck. Furniture made from materials like wrought iron can cause scratches if dragged across the surface. Inspect items like grills, umbrellas, and kids’ toys to ensure they won’t harm the deck’s finish. Adding protective pads to the bottoms of furniture is a great way to prevent scuffs.
